MACAO IN A DAY: HISTORIC WONDERS AND LOCAL FLAVORS
We left Hong Kong right after breakfast, hopped on the direct bus, and enjoyed a quick but unforgettable day trip to Macao.
Our adventure started at The Venetian, where we had lunch at the food court while admiring the stunning man-made blue sky overhead.
From there, we walked to the iconic Ruins of St. Paul’s, its towering façade dramatic against the bright real blue sky.
Next came the elegant Church of St. Dominic along Rua de São Domingos, followed by a stroll through the lively Senado Square with its wavy cobblestones and colorful colonial buildings.
We savored local flavors throughout the day — warm Portuguese egg tarts, savory Macanese dishes, and delicious street eats. After soaking in the mix of grand resorts, historic sites, and vibrant energy, we headed back to the Sands for the direct bus home, arriving as the sun set over Hong Kong.
One day, multiple worlds — artificial skies and real ones, heritage and glamour. Tired feet, full hearts, and a perfect escape. 🌇🇲🇴
